With 29 students in our classroom, moving around can be chaos if it is not strategically coordinated. Right now, two of my small-group station-tables have no seating options. The students stand up to do their reading, writing, and math station work. I have had many students request for me to "please, maybe, find more chairs." For many of them, it is hard to focus, read, and write while standing. Having students drag their desk chair to each station is distractingly loud and takes up valuable work time. These plastic, stack stools are just the right size to give students plenty of space at the station tables. I think having these stools would boost my students' excitement for participating in small group stations.
