Located in SE TN is a quaint valley whose people are proud of their southern heritage and take pride in a little school many generations have attended. Outsiders bring their children there because of the family atmosphere and high test scores. The students start in kindergarten and leave after 8th grade, or are supposed to but they keep coming back because it's home to them. Our 6-8 grade students are very in touch with their world with all the technology they have been exposed to thanks to their families, our school's PTO, and innovative teachers. These students want very much to make connections with the world around them. There is a very high unemployment rate in our county; hence, a high free and reduced lunch rate.
