I try to expose my students to as many books as I can throughout the school year. I want them to enjoy reading. I believe that a child who enjoys reading is more apt to accomplish their college goals. We read a book every day after calendar and then write about something related to it. This helps reinforce the sight words that we are learning. The iPads and covers I'm requesting would be used for reading books and practicing sight words. We could read online books together or play sight word games. My school was recently given 20 iPads through a grant that the teachers share. We would just need the two I'm requesting in order to keep students from having to share during this time.
