These materials are specifically for students to use at home. Each student will receive a pencil set, a sheet of watercolor paper, and a marker to take home during distance learning. The amazing thing about funding this project is that more than 1/2 of the students at our high school are enrolled in the free/reduced lunch program, so you would be really enhancing their art experience! By providing these materials, art students won't be marginalized for not having the resources to purchase these products. Everyone will have the opportunity to achieve at the same rate. In addition, everyone's art will have a similar look in terms of media and no one will be able to tell who the kids are that have money and those that don't. The playing field, so to speak, would be even.
