My students need yoga mats for their wellness unit and to start the day. Because living and growing up in Chicago can be challenging, many students come to school with considerable stress on their shoulders. I know that yoga will help them de-stress. I want my studio to be a place the kids deserve. I'm hoping to open my studio doors before school to allow students in for a quick 20-30 minute yoga class. This will help them focus and de-escalate their stress levels before the day begins. This has been proven to lower discipline issues in schools, and I'm hoping to open the studio up to the whole school in case other students want to try yoga.
