There is so much paperwork that a teacher needs to do these days and it is so much more beneficial to my students for the teacher to just be able to access all of their information in one source easily and up to date. Currently it is through multiple clipboards, rosters, binders, etc. Then finding the information is so slow and disjointed. With a tablet I can update all information from attendance to skill assessments in real-time. This way students will always know how they are doing. An iPad is also useful because I can show instructional videos to small groups of students. Even better, I can take a short video and then show it to a student that is struggling with technique, being able to break it down frame by frame to make progress.
