My students have sensory needs that impact their ability to access their grade level classroom alongside their peers without supports. If their sensory needs are not met, my students experience high levels of anxiety and are not able to participate fully in school with their peers. A Mobo Mobito Bike is a device that students with sensory needs can pedal and provide their legs the pressure and work that they need to decrease their anxiety and join in the classroom with their peers. It gives them an alternative way to work out their frustrations and stress and teaches them to use tools instead of resorting to negative behavior choices to release this stress. The sensory need for many of my students is so great that other devices or solutions are not effective. At a nearby school, a Mobo Mobito is used with their students with Autism and within the first week, we noticed a huge decrease in the amount of aggression and an increase in coping skills and attentiveness in classroom settings. This progress has sustained over the weeks that they have had this tool. I love my students with all my heart and it would make me so happy to give them the same opportunity that the kids at the nearby school have. I know that this tool would impact the progress of my students and will make a dramatic improvement in their academics, behavioral and social skills.
