I teach at a school full of a diverse, energetic and bright student body. In my classroom, I am in charge of 14 eager learners with varying physical, emotional and academic needs. My students are in need of a large rug to sit upon during learning time. The rug we have in the room currently is too small for my wiggly learners to sit comfortably, as it doesn't allow enough space for them to spread out. I am hoping that, by allowing them more space for their bodies, they will be better able to focus on growing their brains. Physiological needs come before self-fulfillment needs after all!
