The high-interest, low Lexile books I'm requesting are popular for a reason. Our kids currently have only very old and out-dated books that haven't been updated in several years. I want the students at our school to come into the library and actually find books that they want to read. Reading is so important for vocabulary building, and our students have to be engaged in the books that they choose. Our students want to use the library and want to read, and giving them fun and interesting books to choose will hopefully help them continue to be lifelong learners and readers.

About my class
