These iPads will allow my dual language students to engage in reading and language acquisition in a fun, individualized way. My students will be able to rotate throughout the week and use the iPads to access programs such as Epic!-Books for Kids to read during reading workshop. The iPads will allow students to be met where they are and practice the reading skills that they need. This individualization is key when considering their language acquisition and growth in our dual language classroom. Additionally, we will be able to use the iPads to supplement other curriculum areas such as Social Studies and Writing. They will be used to incorporate research in our learning and to allow for use of technology on a day to day basis.
