This project and materials allow me to take my students beyond the walls of our classroom as we study and read about different countries, communities, and cultures. Also, with the type of students that I serve, these tablets will allow my students' literacy strategies to be mobile throughout the classroom. Being able to differentiate lessons is another effort to accomplish with these materials. This will allow students to access different types of emergent literacy activities and games. Students will also have a visual and audio component with their literacy assignments that is not on a worksheet. For many students this will be their only opportunity to access various reading programs on their level that are not on a worksheet! Reading takes you places you will never dream of going!
