If our project is fully funded, we will take our students on the field trip of a lifetime. Our students have been reading the novel Serafina and the Black Cloak, the setting of the novel is the Biltmore Estate and the forest surrounding it. As a reward for their hard work and focus, we want to reward them with a fantastic field trip to see this magnificent mansion. Our plan is to pull out of school early in the morning, to make the two and a half hour drive through beautiful western North Carolina to the palatial Biltmore Estate. Once we have arrived, the students will be lead on a tour through the mansion. After the tour they will enjoy a lovely lunch on the property. Shortly after we will head home to the Triad, while watching the June sun set over the Appalachian Mountains. *This project will have to be submitted a number of times, in order to be fully funded.
