Research from the Journal of Education and Practice concluded that anchor charts used as teaching aids stimulates student thinking and improves the learning environment in a classroom. These anchor charts support instructions. Charts are created during instruction, with students, that contains the important content and strategies that students can refer back to at a later time. These visual aids also helps students who are visual learners make connections to the content. Because anchor charts are created during a lesson, it is necessary for all students to be able to see the chart as information is added to it. Having a chart stand would allow all students to see the content being written and used during the lesson, therefore, enhancing their learning.
