I have joined Artsonia to upload my students' artwork for parents to be able to see it. For this to happen, I need to take photos and upload the photos to the website. The iPads will be used to document the artwork and then upload it to the website. It will also be a great lesson on how to use the iPad for the older students. Students and parents will love seeing the artwork made in art class from home. These iPads will allow parents the opportunity to see their child's artwork even if the child loses the artwork or it gets destroyed before it gets home. It is a way for the parents to save their child's artwork forever. Some of my older students also want to go to a special art middle school in our area. This process can help the students document their artwork and teach them about portfolios as well as getting your art "presentation" ready. It's such an amazing opportunity to teach them technology for their future art.
