As a teacher, my goal is to assure that each student learns, grows, and blossoms, to meet her/his potential. School has started and my kindergarten students are doing everyday class activities like reading, writing, and drawing. They will enjoy using their new lapboards and erasers to write personal information, practice letters, write numbers, and draw shapes and objects. In addition, we will use the people shapes when creating self portraits, learning that each of us is a special hue and that all of our "people colors" are beautiful and special. Also, I want to begin offering some flexible seating for students, since students learn in different ways. The wobble chair and floor seats will give them some choices. The building set will help them learn how to be strategic in building as we are focusing on STEAM. Please help my kindergarten students begin their school career positively! Donations to this project will help students start off the year reading, writing, drawing, and feeling empowered in their new learning environment.
