My students are in need of books in English for them to learn to read. These students need enough books in the classroom that they can have a selection in the classroom, as well as being able to take one home each night to practice reading with. Currently the classroom does not have enough grade level books for them to be able to do so. These books will break the language barrier at home and enable these English language learners to read to their families in English!Being a dual language class, a majority of my students do not come from English speaking homes. The students need these books to be able to immerse themselves in the language outside of the classroom as well!
