Each year I add something special and worthwhile for my students to experience. This is my 14th year teaching kindergarten and these last few years, I added fine motor boxes, VR goggles, and a science exploration area. I have noticed that the sensory activities I've added to each of these things have been beneficial in developing the young minds and they also help in easing anxiety or stress. The variety of materials I am requesting in this project will provide my students with what we need to create fun and unique sensory experiences for my young learners. Through sensory play, my students will build language skills and fine motor skills. Sensory play can calm them in times of stress or frustration. Sensory play gives every student an opportunity to engage in exploration, question asking, and be successful in their interactions and play.
