My students suffer from ADD, ADHD, auditory processing deficits and other disabilities that hampers their education. One of the main culprits that I deal with everyday as a High School Teacher is the cellphone. Instagram, Snapchat, Tic-Toc and now my sworn enemies. As a teacher I can no longer simply say "give me your cellphone".. but, I can have my students lock up their cell phone with their own personal locker and own personal key. I have seen another teacher on this campus use this system and the results are amazing. I believe that my students want to learn, but it is so much easier to look at their phone for the answers, airdrops or photos and copy, then to do the work. I believe that eliminating phones in my classroom I will have a huge improvement in my learning environment.
