The materials listed below have been chosen with sensory play as well as fine motor skills in mind; Play-Doh, kinetic sand, chalk, magnets, water beads and the many tools to go along with them. When students are given opportunities to maximize their experience within the realm of sensory play and fine motor development, there's no telling how much they will grow! Sensory play supports language development, cognitive growth, motor skills, problem solving skills and social interaction. By giving my kindergartners access to these materials, you're helping them in a way that will play a pivotal role in their success throughout the rest of their school years and beyond.
