My goal is to create life-long readers - kids who love reading. In order to this, I need to put high-interest books in their hands as well as give them an environment comfortable for reading. All research shows that the best way to increase student achievement is to get kids to read more. I am asking for books by Kwame Alexander, John Green, and Rick Riordan to add to my library. We have been in bungalows for 3 years now while we wait for construction on our school building to begin. I am working to create a fun learning space during our time here. The high-top table, bouncy balls and rocker chairs will offer students who struggle with sitting still the option to work in a fashion more suited to their needs.
