Our classroom has a tile floor, which is cold and dull in color. Currently, we are using old carpet squares that I set up before each class in formations of a circle or rectangle depending on what activity we are doing that day. But carpet squares are difficult to have students set up on their own and tend to move when doing a movement activity, thus creating a safety issue. I'd go without them but that makes seating cold and uncomfortable for tiny people. With this proposed rug we will be able to organize seating placement, perform successful dancing formations, provide comfortable seating, and add a splash of color to our room that we desperately need!
