Small group learning is not only used for reading but it is also used and important while teaching math. This horseshoe table will allow me as the teacher to reach and be hands on with a small group of students at a time. This table allows for the teacher to sit in the middle and work alongside while being in direct sight and contact with each student in the group. I plan to use this table for our guided reading groups during our literacy blocks, individualized math groups, as well as hands on art activities that will take place in the first grade classroom. I hope that you are interested in supporting the needs of my students to be able to work in small groups in our classroom.
