Breakout EDU kits make learning a game...literally! Escape and break out games engage even the most reluctant student. Moreover, these games require collaboration and communication. Practicing 21st century skills in a game will prepare students to succeed later in school and in the modern work force. Breakout EDU games are cross-curricular; a perfect match for the cross-curricular learning space that is my school library. Through puzzles and an escape room format, students interacting with Breakout EDU games have STEM, reading & problem-solving skills reinforced. Research has shown that students who play while learning retain that information longer. I will use these Breakout EDU kits in collaboration with teachers by building games using math and literacy concepts/skills they are focusing on in the classroom.
