This project will help me provide healthy snacks for my students twice a week for the remainder of the school year. Every day between breakfast and lunch we have a time where students can have a snack; however, many of our students come from limited-income households who cannot provide snack. Health and wellness is so important and these snacks (crackers, granola bars, and fruit snacks) will give my students the energy they need throughout the school day. As a teacher, I know that it can be difficult to work when you are hungry. That is why being able to provide healthy snacks for my students would mean so much. It would make a remarkable difference in our school and classroom to know that students have been given their best opportunity to learn and have healthy snacks along the way.

About my class
