My students need access to laptops to learn how to type and navigate the internet. These are skills crucial to success in any 21st century education or career. Unfortunately, many of my students do not have access to a laptop at home. My students deserve equal access to the laptops they need to develop technological literacy that is so crucial to our changing world. Laptops will be used daily during both literacy and math stations. During literacy stations, students will conduct their own research for writing assignments, enabling them to expand their horizons and gain research skills. During math stations, students will use adaptive learning software that provides them with standards based games that are very engaging and tailored to their academic needs. My students need these laptops to become better readers, mathematicians, writers, and 21st century scholars.
