As a side by side dual language educator, I get to share two sets of AMAZING children with my partner teacher. We are lucky to know and teach a group of funny, kind, spunky, diverse, fabulous first graders and could not be more excited for the year. These are first graders who are quick to translate for their non-French speaking peers or to raise a hand and offer to take their sick classmate to the nurse. They are creative, and pay attention to detail-- like when I modeled making my own self portrait and they lovingly pointed out that I forgot to color in my roots! It is never a dull day with them and they deserve a classroom and learning materials that can not only keep up with them but elevate them above their highest potential!
