I work with a class of 38 students in the inner city of Chicago. Their cultural backgrounds are of Mexican and African American descent. Each of them posses the potential to be great leaders as teachers, musicians, artists, and athletes. They come to school with smiles on their faces eager to learn within the fun and safe environment we have all worked to create. Though they have struggles they deal with on a day-to-day basis, they do not let that stop them from pursuing their dreams and goals.

About my class
