A learning rug is an essential piece for the community building and learning within our classroom. I currently have a much smaller rug, which will not comfortably hold all of my students. Morning Meeting is the catalyst for the positive family environment in our classroom and this learning rug will create the perfect space for my students to come together to learn and grow. In Morning Meeting, we spend time greeting each other, working on team building activities, and sharing about ourselves. In order to effectively conduct this time effectively and bring my students together for any other learning experience, we need a space large enough for the whole class to be together.
