My students come from a poverty-mindset, low-opportunity background. My hope is to brighten up our classroom with a colorful rug, as right now they are sitting on the cold floor. I want to create an engaging oasis where they can escape to learn at their highest potential, which is why I need tools such as the laminator and document camera. I also know that kids learn best when they play, so I would like to build lessons using the car sets for sight words, and cash register/groceries for them to add money in a real-world scenario. My books are older and outdated, and I would love for them to get lost in these stories and make reading come alive. I also have students with disabilities who will greatly benefit from the colorful kinesthetics of the items I asked for. I sincerely appreciate your heart for children! I want to show them a world they don't know about and instill in them the drive to succeed by changing the world!
