Our team of 125 students shares one laptop cart among 5 teachers. Students get to use computers for learning only once a week in my science class. I am requesting 8 Chromebooks so that two of my cooperative learning groups would be able to have access to technology on a daily basis. By having even just 8 computers available to students in my class, I can increase their access to technology to a daily basis instead of once a week. With such an emphasis in our world on science, technology, engineering and math, I can better prepare my students for their future career or college by just simply placing laptop computers in their hands more often. It seems like a simple thing, and it has been a frustration and limitation on the way I would like my students to learn.

About my class
