My students are 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in a suburb of Minneapolis, MN The are kind, funny, and want to succeed. Most of them come from homes that are below the poverty line. Many of them are disengaged in the institution of school and don't see the value of putting forth hard work and effort when they don't recognize the benefits or application of their learning. They have lots of basic needs that need to be met before they can truly engage in learning and I'm seeking to help meet some of those basic needs. They need to move, to wiggle, to be themselves, and in my teaching space, I try to support that need as much as possible. This project will help me to do just that. Thank you for taking the time to read about my kids!
