All of the books that are purchased will go into my classroom library, so that my students are able to practice their reading skills. My students practice reading individually and with a partner daily. They need more books that are lower Lexile levels (Kindergarten and First Grade) so that they are able to become effective readers. In order for my students to become effective readers, they need books that they can easily read and comprehend. Fluency and comprehension are connected. I want my students to be more fluent readers so that they can comprehend more books. This will be accomplished through the books picked out on this project.
