The majority of our instruments are school owned and therefore we need to pay out of pocket for any expenses. Because of this, we have been unable to afford new strings for many years and students are unable to learn effectively because they are working with worn out supplies. Getting new strings will make learning enjoyable and less frustrating for the students. These strings will go towards 12-15 instruments who need repair the most. Since these instruments are school owned, or "classroom instruments", they are shared between my 8th and 7th grade students which means they get used... a lot. Getting new strings to put on these instruments will make sure they are able to be used effectively all year.
