These art supplies will give my students the opportunity to grow artistically while making connections between the visual arts and math, science, social studies, and language arts. The projects they will be creating in the art room will be an extension of what they are learning about in the classroom. They will be using the Crayola Terra Cotta air dry clay to sculpt puppets to bring their language arts unit stories to life, using Reeve's Oil Pastels they will create owns inspired by artists Paul Klee and Mary Blair to teach they about fractions and division. They will also use the clay to create and cast trilobite fossils as they begin a study of the rock cycle and different types of rocks.
