My students need high quality books on their independent reading level. It is important for children to develop a love of reading at an early age, in order to do this they need to get their hands on books! Our titles include Katie Woo! Viva Frida, Elephant and Piggie and more. My incoming second graders are not reading on grade level- yet! With your support they will have access to a variety of texts to support their reading habits. Good readers read books to learn and gain new knowledge, but first they need to learn to read. Through the use of these books I can support my students and help them develop as readers.
