These funds will be used to create an invigorating science curriculum with a variety of hands on activities. If our goal is met, our classroom would be provided with a new microscope, owl pellet dissection kits, and experimenting with various materials regarding density among countless other projects and experiments, pushing young minds to grow and develop their passion to learn and problem solve. Science is often overlooked and these resources would prove to be invaluable to support a growth mind set and give students a chance to work collaboratively. The use of a basic classroom microscope will give students the opportunity to further investigate their understanding of cells and molecular structures which is very prevalent in 3rd grade science content standards. These experiments give students the opportunity to work with their hands and aims to invigorate the learning process for students.
