My students have learned about various ecosystems, seen videos, and heard stories about oceanic life. Unfortunately, many have not been to the beach and this would really help them to understand the material they have been learning in class as they get the opportunity to explore and apply it to real life. I have a few that are aspiring marine biologist and several I could see wanting to be one after the trip, so this could rock their world! During this trip, they would get to see the connections of the food chains and food webs in the ocean and estuaries. They will be able to see wild animals in their habitats and have hands-on learning experiences with the oceanic life they would never be able to have in class.

About my class
