My students are from a blue collar community with many families needing them to work to help support the nuclear and sometimes extended family. The school has an extended AP (Advanced Placement) program, of which my students belong our AP Calculus classes. These students are college bound, but are in need of assistance and support in any way we can give it to them. A large part of learning mathematics is being able to communicate and share. Being from a rural area, we want our students to have the same benefits as the larger cities and feel confident about their abilities as they move forward with their educational goals. As a school community, we provide as much enrichment and review as we can within the school day. It is very difficult to do anything outside the school day with so many of our students riding the bus. The financial need of our students also becomes an issue. We need your help and support!
