My students bring a lot to the classroom. Some need to cooperate with others to complete their work while others need quiet and space. Sometimes a simple solution can make a huge difference. I have multiple groups in my classroom that are working at different levels in different ways. One group needs the support of a peer while another group needs the room quiet so they can think. These are both valid and can coexist only if they are able to block each other out using tools such as these ear muffs. I know these will help a variety of students focus on and complete their work while also allowing for cooperative learning. This would greatly reduce tension in our learning community while increasing productivity.
