This laminator will allow me to make materials for my alternate curriculum classroom students that will help them access their curriculum and increase their independence when communicating their wants and needs. I will also use the laminator to make visual schedules and first/then charts. Many students with communication and language needs benefit from visual supports. With a laminator, I can make these supports more durable for the classroom settings. This iPad and pencil will further support my students access to picture supports through voice output apps that I can use directly with the students in order to help them access their classroom curriculum. There are so many apps available to SLPs that will both support students in the classroom and motivate students during activities focused on targeting their articulation and language expansion. Alternate curriculum classrooms have their own iPads that I program with classroom curriculum. If I have access to my own iPad, I can program my device outside the classroom and then airdrop the material to the iPads in the classroom setting. Not only can an iPad help with therapy, but it can also help streamline informal and formal assessments for my students.
