My students are second language learners from a lower socio-economic background. They wear uniforms which helps keep gang activity to a minimum but the neighborhood still harbors the activity. They are well mannered children with hopes for the future. Their aspirations are not high because of where they have come from. I try to raise the bar for them so that they might reach their potential and finish high school and enroll in college.

About my class
