During volleyball practice and games, our team is currently using handed-down volleyballs from the high school- many of which are bumpy and hard- and we have too few usable volleyballs for practice. We also use a difficult-to-manage bag to hold the volleyballs. The bag makes it hard for us to keep the balls organized and ready-to-use during practice. Often they end up half in the bag and half on the ground- which has been safety concern more than a few times. I want to be able to run drills without having to worry about where the next volleyball is coming from. I love coaching these girls. They are excited to learn new skills and practice them during our time together. Because of our second-rate equipment it has been difficult to keep our practices running at a fast-pace. Getting better at volleyball is not just about learning how to bump, set, spike- it is about repetition; touches on the ball! For our team to be competitive, we need equipment that will allow us the convenience and efficiency of having more volleyballs and a quick, safe place to keep them!
