My goal is to encourage my students to read more. My hopes are that the students will be more inclined to read if they have some new comfortable seating options. Research shows that students focus better in different types of seats, not just typical student chairs. A previous educator in my school had success using flexible seating options. I hope to have the same benefits as well. If given the option, wouldn't you choose relaxation and comfort? Students in my class always raced to the one comfortable chair I had last year. I am excited at the opportunity to add some cozy new seats and flair to my new classroom full of students this year!
