Achieving literacy through a new avenue! The Scholastic News Subscription will introduce my students to events happening around the world through reading. These magazines are written with age appropriate language and will help to expand my students’ vocabulary. These magazines will help to open my students’ eyes to different aspects of Social Studies and Science which we may not cover in our everyday curriculum. By introducing my students to different and new things, I am hoping to instill a sense of curiosity within my students and to show them that the world is much bigger than their neighborhood. Students will be able to explore the world through reading!
