These books are nominated for the Show Me Readers Award for this year, 2018-19. Each year there are 10 books nominated by the Missouri Association of School Librarians to be read by school age children and voted on. These votes will help determine which book nominee will receive this award for the state of Missouri. My students love to be a part of such a decision, this finds them motivated to read a variety of books that passively assists in determining which books truly interests them. These nominated books will also contribute points to goal setting done through AR after reading. Our students work toward an individualized point/comprehension goal each quarter.
