Adding iPads to our list of learning tools will not only give students an additional choice, but it will also provide special needs students and struggling readers with technology to help improve their reading skills. Additionally, students may use the iPads to create multimedia presentations for class projects. Students will have the option to use apps like Epic Books which provides a free digital library in which many books have a read aloud option. Other reading apps, such as Book Creator, will allow kids to write and record their own ebooks. Also, apps like iMovie provide user-friendly video editing that my students will use to create book trailers and other projects!
