In Kindergarten, it is so important for students to have their own space to help teach them personal boundaries and how to keep their hands and feet to themselves. Having a rug like this in my classroom will help to remind students of their classmates' personal boundaries while giving them enough space to get their wiggles out in their own personal space. This rug will tie in nicely with my classroom because everything we do is color coded just like the rug, so it will make for easy transitions from their desks to the rug for instructional time during the day.
