Providing colorful communication aids via a color printer allows verbal and nonverbal students to communicate in a multitude of settings. They build powerful, caring relationships by learning to communicate in a variety of formats. Using a system called PECS, nonverbal students are able to communicate with everyone around them. PECS build a sense of unity in our classroom as they help guide us, teach us, and keep us on track throughout the day. A bridge forms for verbal and nonverbal students by meeting every learner's communication and sensory needs. Wiggle seats meet sensory needs as visual aids meet the communication needs providing a rich, dynamic learning environment.
