I am a reading interventionist in an urban charter school. The majority of my students come from high poverty homes and come from every racial background imaginable. Education is very important to the families at our school. They chose our school because of its diversity, high standards for behavior, and excellent instruction. Our school is very much a community and I love the relationships we as a staff have with our students and each other! My job is to help the students in grades 1-5 who struggle with their reading. I implement small group, intense instruction to achieve the goal of bringing these children up to grade level. My students work hard and I differentiate my instruction based on each student's needs. I love my job and are always looking for new, innovative ways to help my students. They deserve the best I can give them.
