One of the most important areas of early literacy is the ability to retell stories and with non-verbal students this task requires an interactive center. The felt board partition will allow the students to manipulate and get their ideas seen and heard. This board will allow the students with ADHD to move around and get involved in story time. Not only does this flannel board allow our students to retell beloved stories, but it will allow students to further their social emotional development as they take on roles in stories, and help each other solve conflicts through the use of characters. The Storytelling Kits, will be used along with the flannel board.
